There are so many life events that you should remember to capture in a scrapbook. Sometimes it is hard to know what memories you should document. Here are a few ideas:
1. Family History - Make a history book of your family. Encourage everyone to contribute and then either publish it or send everyone electronic copies. Think what unique and wonderful that could be.
2. Weddings - You could make a whole book just on one wedding or a page for each wedding you attend. This is an ideal time to see family and friends and get lots of fun shots to go with those cherished memories.
3. Children - You can do so much for children with scrapbooking. Do your own personalized baby book, or make a book showing all the aspects of a child's life from your perspective. Use active, fun shots with lots of personality. This is the best way to remember children and show how they change over time.
4. High School or College Reunions - Show before and after pics. Hire a photographer to take pics of everyone who attends and create your own yearbook that people can buy online after the event.
5. Lost loved ones - Whether it be your friend, a family member or even the family pet, part of healing from loss is remembering the good times. What better way than to create a page or a book dedicated to your lost loved one.
6. Newsworthy Events - Whether it is documenting the most recent election, that space walk that so captivated you, or some other newsworthy event, document it by clipping the article and pictures and show how that was of interest to you.
7. Tell about yourself or your family - Create a memory book of you and/or your families likes and dislikes. Share who you are and what you like to do. Sometimes the simplest books are cherished by the ones you love.
8. Create a Travel Journal - Show pictures of your favorite places and your experiences. Pictures are the ultimate souvenir.
9. Favorite Things - Create a book that describes your favorite things. It can be anything, your car, your friends, your home, your lucky sock. Anything goes.
10. Document a cause or charity that you support - Explain why you support it and how. Show what you have done to help the cause.
As you can see there are many ways that you can document your life with scrapbooking. There are endless possibilities. There are also endless ways to embellish your books with stickers, special paper and fun momentos. Don't hesitate to include everything you can and want to remember. You will be glad you did!
