Sometimes it is hard to come up with a specific time to start scrapbooking. Time gets away from you and your projects and pictures start to pile up. One way to catch up is to start going to 'Friday Night Crops' at your local scrapbook store. Many stores are open extended hours on Friday nights and for a nominal fee you can come in and bring your projects with you. Some even provide a play area for your children, but that is not always the case. Typically, when you attend the late night scrap, the entire store is available for you to get that one extra sticker or an extra page, etc. You can also ask questions of the experts there in the store about how different tools and utensils work.
The 'Friday Night Crops' are typically an evening event. Some stores offer classes during these late night crops, but overall it is a great time to get projects done and socialize with people who have similar interests. Also, you might bring supplies that you have left over from your projects. You never know that might be the one piece that would complete someone else's page and they might have something you can trade for.
Check with your local store for times and fees. Each store is different and some may have other late night events. Most scrapbook stores post calendars with information about their classes and events. You can either pick one up on your next visit or check out their website, if they have one. One of the lists here on my page provides you with information about local stores and their websitesm, so be sure to check it out. If you hear about a great event in the area, please let me know and I will be glad to post the information here.
