Whether you are taking your children trick or treating or attending a fall festival at your local church or community center, Halloween is one of the best times of the year for getting creative with your scrapbooking.  Here are some ideas for creating a great memory page or book for Halloween:

1.  Take lots of pictures:  One of the things people forget is to take lots of different pictures from different angles and not just posed pictures.  Catch your subjects in candid moments.  Also, try to capture the character they are trying to be, not just the smiling person you know.  Some of the best pages include funny faces and silliness.

2.  Save fun little trinkets from the event or evening:  Save candy wrappers, bags that the goodies came in, or even little stickers or momentos that they received as party of the fun.  Did you visit a haunted house?  Why not include a piece of the advertising for the place or places your visited.

3.  Don't forget to journal:  Was there anything funny that happened?  Did someone get scared?  Did you run out of candy?  Did you have a lot of trick or treaters?  Did someone trick you?  Did you carve pumpkins?  The pictures are so much more fun with the story.

4.  Consider making a small book rather than just a page or two:  You could make a small memory book of all the trick or treaters who visited your home.  You could have a page dedicated to decorating the house, going to the fall festival, carving a pumpkin, hanging out with the neighbors, attending a party, going to a carnival, going through a maze, etc.

Overall, creating memories of Halloween can be a lot of fun.  Make time to record your memories and it will be fun to remember the fun in the years ahead.
