Freedom Road 5K and Jefferson Mile – San Francisco

Both the 5K and mile are USATF Certified distances that visit some of Golden Gate Park’s best views. The Jefferson Mile is fast & flat and Starts 8:30 AM near the Bowling Green. The Freedom Road 5K is mostly flat with a couple of easy hills and Starts 9 AM on JFK, East of the Conservatory of Flowers.

Alameda Race

This is a 5K run and walk held just before the Alameda 4th of July Parade and traces the parade route throughout Alameda. This event is name the R.A.C.E. - Ralph Appezzato Charity Event to honor the former Mayor, the late Ralph Appezzato.

Haley’s 4th of July Run for a Reason - Orinda

Haley was a healthy, beautiful, happy little girl. On May 15, 2000, at the tender age of 21 months, she went to sleep and never woke up. Because she was over the age of 1, her death is not considered SIDS, but instead she belongs to a lesser-know category called Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). To this day, her friends and family still do not know the cause of her death. Please join us on July 4th for a 5-mile cross-country run or a 2-mile family walk. Walk. Run. Laugh. Remember.

Pacifica Trail Run

Whether you're considering trail running for the first time or are an experienced ultra runner, Pacific Coast Trail Runs offer a rewarding experience in a beautiful environment. This Sunday travel through Eucalyptus trees and past Brooks Falls on your way to North Peak overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The park is located in the northern spur of the Santa Cruz Mountains and features the only undisturbed Coastal Mountain Habitat found in over 100 miles of coastline. 9 Km - 1,200'; 21 Km - 2,900'; 30 Km - 4,100'; 50 Km - 6,700' - Choose your Distance. Stick around for the post race picnic – Soup & Chili!

Muir Woods Run - Marin

Trek through the forest on a dirt trail underneath magnificent redwoods at Muir Woods, the United State’s 10th National Monument, just 12 miles from San Francisco. On a flat, mellow course, stop to admire the old-growth sequoias, expanding over 200 acres, with over 96 different species of native plants in its Redwood Creek Nursery. Refresh yourself in the natural, open air, just a skip away from the city.

Pleasant Hill Firecracker 5K

This popular event is growing bigger every year! The 5K course starts at 45 Crescent Drive, in front of Fleet Feet Sports. It goes through the downtown area and follows the same route as the Fourth of July parade which begins immediately after the race.

2009 Kenwood Footrace

A 4th of July tradition for 38 years. Both courses follow scenic rural roads in the heart of the Wine Country. The 10K-- a challenging loop with rolling hills. The 3K--slightly uphill going out, then quickly back the same course to the finish.

Santa Cruz Firecracker 10K

Since 1985 The Firecracker 10K has been a Santa Cruz Independence Day tradition offering a thrilling start to a day of family holiday fun. This challenging course begins at Harvey West Park, winds its way up the trail into the majestic hills of Pogonip park and descends back down through Santa Cruz's beautiful upper west side neighborhoods. Each runner receives a free pass to the Pop Warner Pancake Breakfast.

Morgan Hill’s 4th of July

The City of Morgan Hill remains one of only two cities in the Bay Area that continues to have all-day events surrounding the 4th of July. The 4th of July Celebration includes a 5k & 1mile run/walk, parade, family festival, fireworks and entertainment show, patriotic sing and other activities. All profits support Morgan Hill’s Independence celebration.
