Amazingly, Madonna is being scrutinized again for the method in which she is opening a school in Malawi. The African nation, as we all know, is one she holds true to her heart as she has adopted two children from the impoverished region. As promised, the ever so busy singer arrived in Malawi this past weekend to partake in the ground breaking ceremony which represented the beginning of the school's construction.
Sadly, instead of condoning her for making efforts to educate children that would never have a chance at any form of education whatsoever, she is being compared to Oprah and the "groundbreaking" school she built a couple of years ago. E! online has published the lowest of the low with a negative title for Mo's charitable effort, but, then again, they employ Ryan Seacrest, so it is hard to hold them in any sort of esteem anyway. What difference does it make how grandiose the school is when in all actuality, the school, no matter if it consists of nothing more than blackboard in sand is providing these children with a chance at breaking out of the conditions they were born into.
Perhaps if Mother Theresa had opened this school, it would have gone without controversy, the fact that Madonna is doing it, has the journalists a buzz. I say congratulations Madonna, you are making a difference and shining a light for these children who live in a world of darkness. You are truly making a difference in the world, which is more than can be said for the writers who condemn you.
