Columbia-HTC, the American-registered international squad powered by two of the world's most accomplished sprinters, claimed 86 victories in 2009 — the most of any ProTour team and one more than the squad claimed the previous year.
Sprinters Mark Cavendish, who won nine Grand Tour stages, and Andre Greipel, who claimed four Grand Tour stage wins, combined about half of the team's season wins.
Fifteen riders from the squad claimed wins, beginning with Michael Rogers' Australian national time trial on Jan. 8 and concluding with the Marco Pinotti's win at the Citta di Stress time trial Oct. 8.
In addition to several Classics wins, Columbia-HTC won overall titles at the Tour of Britain, Eneco Tour and Österreich Rundfahrt.
