Recently I had an epiphany. I realized I need to create a mailbag feature for this site.

I have set-up an email account, rocketsexaminer@gmail.com, and plan to use the messages sent there in the posts. If you'd like, please begin sending all questions and comments to that address.

If you have an interesting “take” or perspective on the team I have failed to address — send an email, I’ll respond to it.
If you have a question about the state of the team — send an email.

Or, if you want to know why I could be so wrong in claiming a 30 point 13 rebound night for Yao Ming against the Portland Trail Blazers — send an email.

A couple of rules I hope all adhere to.

1. No attachments

If you send an email with any sort of attachment I’ll delete it; too many Trojan horse viruses out there.

2. No forwarding

Please don’t send me spam.

3. No profanity

In the emails, try to refrain from using what I call the “fun words”. If you wouldn't use the word at school or at your job, don’t anticipate your message being published.

4. Include a name

A first name is all that’s necessary. Make up one if you wish, but I’d rather respond to a message with “Dear John,” rather than “Dear friendsfan4eva182,”

As views to the site are increasing on a daily basis, I want to offer the chance for a more interactive and entertaining experience for those who visit. For you see, I am at the mercy of all of you, nothing more than a puppet on a lonely string. So anything that will retain your viewership, I’m all for.

I hope to have a mailbag post two to three times a month, so please help make this happen.

This has worked out well for Bill Simmons of ESPN's Page 2, Alyson Footer of Astros.com, and Golden State Warriors Examiner Matt Steinmetz. So I hope it turns out to be an enjoyable experience for all.
