Doug has studied for the Catholic priesthood and earned two degrees: a master's degree in curriculum & instruction, and a bachelor's in communication studies. He has been actively involved in spiritual direction and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), has taught theology courses, and has been invited to deliver spiritually motivating talks and presentations at churches of various denominations. A "wounded healer," Doug has shared examples and insights of how he overcame mistakes in his own life that help to heal others and to guide them toward a deeper spirituality and a more meaningful life.
