What? In a Mini Cooper? You've got to be kidding!
I was interested to note from a recent article in Top Gear Magazine that in Thailand, people often break into cars in order to have sex. Having lived in Laos with frequent travel to Thailand, I can totally understand this as many young people throughout Southeast Asia often live with their parents until marriage. Rather than get caught in a public park or behind a tree, a car seems the safer solution. Plus, there is less risk of getting a muddy bottom or hard-to-clean grass stains.
In Indonesia, young couples often enjoy sex on their small motorbikes (don't ask me how I know this). Again, the main reason is that there is simply no alternative location when your house if full of people and you are sharing a bedroom. I wonder if they remove their helmets.
Also in Indonesia, a rather steamy book entitled, 'Jakarta Undercover' has revealed a prostitution service that entails sex in SUVs whilst they are being driven around the city. The heavily tinted windows allow for privacy but there is still a risk of being caught which, apparently, is the main draw.
Of course, in America, entire songs have been written about having sex in a car and the idea is often celebrated. I therefore began to wonder what type of car would be best suited for fun-filled procreation. You have the obvious choices such as a modified van or nice comfy RV. But what type of average car is truly suited for the role? I would think something long and stretchy like a Mercedes E-class with reclining rear seats or a large Range Rover with heavily tinted windows.
A car that would certainly not work is any kind of taxi. I can only imagine what types of germs do their own reproducing in such a vehicle and the driver would be none too pleased with clean up. A public bus would not be out of the question depending on the time of day and whether or not a couple decides to risk being on closed circuit TV (and eventually the 10 o'clock news).
The lure of having sex in a car (or plane) is strong indeed whether it be out of practicality or pure fantasy. I therefore call upon the readers to offer their best choice of car for "messing about". Also, if you have a story about a time you enjoyed some back seat frivolity, please post it here.
