Multiple Sclerosis got international attention when the National Multiple Sclerosis Society team rang in the opening of the New York Stock Exchange.
The group got the honor to do that on Sept. 29 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Bike MS NYC Traffic Free. Bike MS NYC Traffic Free's 25th anniversary is expected to raise $3 million in support of national Multiple Sclerosis research, and the hundreds of annual programs and services the chapter provides people living with MS, their friends and families in the five boroughs.
The National MS Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.
To help move closer to a world free of MS, the Society invested over $50 million to support 444 research projects around the world in 2008 alone. Join the movement at: www.nationalMSsociety.org.
The New York City Chapter of the National MS Society helps the thousands of New Yorkers impacted by MS continue to move their lives forward. The chapter provides hundreds of comprehensive support services and educational programs, and raises funds locally to support the National MS Society’s research initiatives.
