 Flower therapy

*This book is a great summer read that has lot's of refreshing healthy home tips to aspire to.

Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan, author and founder of a wonderful book and website called “Apartment Therapy“, the eight step home cure, is a real inspiration when it comes to suggesting small changes that yield big results.   One rung on the ladder of his eight-step home cure process suggests bringing fresh flowers into the home weekly to nourish the “heart” of your living space.  Summer is the perfect time to begin this exercise, when fresh flowers grow in abundance in home gardens and can be found for cutting on flower farms all along the way. This practice not only adds beauty; it actually becomes a looked forward to event by weeks end.  Fresh flowers are always beautiful no matter what day of the week, it is important to nurture them everyday with clean water which will prolong the life of the flowers and their therapeutic nature.

A word to the wise, BEWARE!  Before, during and especially after reading this book I could not stop cleaning, it is an all-around inspirational guide to healthy living.
