Ivanka Trump wore a lace Vera Wang gown inspired by old Hollywood when she married Jared Kushner a couple of weeks ago.   Bridal designers' gowns for 2010 have as little as a hint of lace to a full lace on top of lace gown.

The trend over the past few years was to stay as far away from lace as possible.   Bridal gowns were more about soft, silky, shiny materials.   Well, I do not think lace every left us.  Being a fan of all things romantic, lace is on top of my list.

Lace adds romance and class to any style of wedding gown.  Did you purchase a sexy strapless, yet simple gown and now feel like you need to cover up some and want something more romantic and less sexy for the ceremony?

Lace is your friend!  Run!  Seriously... Run, to your bridal store or contact Rebecca Wendlandt to create a custom lace overlay or lace jacket for your wedding gown.  The lace overlay can be as short or as long as you like.  Check out the slideshow here for some touch of lace inspiration.

Are you still looking for that perfect romantic, modern, with a touch of classic style wedding gown of your dreams?  Lace!  The lace gowns for 2010 are absolutely gorgeous.  There are a range of wedding gowns made of lace.  Chantilly lace.  Vintage lace.  Alencon lace.  Ivory lace.  White lace.  Scalloped lace.  French lace.  Dye-able lace.  Whatever lace your heart desires, you'll find it in one of the many wedding gowns designed for Fall/Winter 2009 and Spring 2010.  Click here for some lacey inspiration.

So, you are more of a modern tomboyish bride.  A lace gown or overlay just does not seem to be your style.  However, although a tomboy, you are also a hopeless romantic.    You have a soft spot for Marie Antoinette and secretly want to include some Victorian style into your wedding attire.  Have you considered lace gloves?  Or even a lace fan?   How about just adding a touch of lace to your veil?  Ms. Modern-tomboy, lace is back and is not simply a trend; it is a timeless and romantic.  And get this, totally something you can pass down to your daughter on her wedding day as her "something old."   Click here for some hint-of-lace inspiration.

Lace is back?  It never left, I say!  Lace is a timeless wedding material.  You can include it in your bridal attire and also include it in your ceremony and reception design.  Wherever you decide to include lace on your big day, remember, you can never, ever, ever, have too much lace.  Do it small or do it big.  Just like bling, lace will turn the plain into something memorable.  Check out the slideshow for some inspiring lacey styles.  Keep it lacey!
