The Journey is hosting a series entitled "Elevator Music"at their Luminary Center for the Arts located on S. Kingshighway. On September 20th The Books with Lymbyc Systym will play (tickets $12).
Midrash's monthly Theology at the Bottleworks continues this month with the topic, "Moral Limits on the Free Market: What Should Not be Sold?" Discussion begins at 7 p.m. September 16th at the Schlafly Bottleworks.
If beer is not your thing, Midrash also holds Coffee Shop Discussions on Thursdays. Discussions take place at Borders in Brentwood and the Gelateria on South Grand from 7 to 8 p.m.

Concordia Seminary will host its annual Theological Symposium September 22-23. This year's topic is "Science and Technology: New Questions, New Conversations." Speakers include Dr. Daniel Botkin, professor emeritus at the University of California, Santa Barbara and author of No Man's Garden: Thoreau and a New Vision for Civilization and Nature; Dr. Mario Beauregard, professor of microbiology at the University of Montreal and author of The Spiritual Brain: A Neuroscientist's Case for the Existence of the Soul. Concordia is also hosting its Day of Exegetical Reflection on Monday, September 21st from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dr. Tremper Longman III will be speaking on the topic, "Show Them No Mercy!
