Michael Jackson Dies at 50 [photo from groupieblog.wordpress]

This week began with the death of the famous "Tonight" sidekick Ed McMahon.  Walter Cronkite is reportedly very ill and Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer earlier this morning.

Just minutes ago, arguably the biggest entertainer to have ever lived has died.

According to many reports, including CNN.com, Michael Jackson is dead at the age of 50.

Here's an excerpt from the article:

Entertainer Michael Jackson has died after being taken to a hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports including the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. CNN has not confirmed his death.

Jackson, 50, had been in a coma at the hospital, sources told CNN.

Jackson was well known for his music, but he made a huge impact on the television medium, as well.  A few videos below will show how Michael Jackson grew up before America's eyes on television, from his performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show," to his very first moonwalk on the television special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever to the world famous music video that changed how music videos were made--"Thriller."
