American Idol sixth-season runner-up Blake Lewis announced the October 6 release of his sophomore album, titled "Heartbreak on Vinyl."

"[It's] the culmination of over 10 years in the dance scene, filled with electro pop goodness with melodies I cherish," Lewis told People.
This album will be his first with Tommy Boy Entertainment, after Arista Records dropped the Idol alum last June.
The former Idol finalist has worked with producers Rodney Jerkins and Dave Aude on the album and credits them with the new sound.
The music in the dance scene gets me out onto the dance floor to lose my inhibition," Lewis told People. "The title is an ode to all the record stores that have been closing down due to my industry eating itself. These are the stores that brought inspiration to all of us music lovers and have led me to make the music I create today."
His first album, "Audio Daydream" debuted in late 2007.
