It was no shock that TLC would have trouble topping last week's record-breaking audience of Jon & Kate Plus 8. But as it were, only 1.587 million viewers tuned in to watch the retrospective episode, which featured footage from the 10 years that the estranged couple were together, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

This is down from the nearly 10 million people who watched the June 22 episode where the couple announced their separation. Those are Apprentice numbers, people! For a show about nothing!
Since the announcement, TLC has decided to put the show on hiatus until August 3. Next Monday, the network will give us a sneak-peek at the new footage they're compiling for when the show returns. One thing we won't be seeing is footage of the Gosselins breaking the news to their children, as it wasn't filmed.
The couple filed for divorce on June 22 in a Montgomery County Courthouse, citing the marriage was "irretrievably broken." This was after months of speculation that both Jon and Kate had committed adultery.
