Actor, musician and producer John Stamos received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame today, Monday, November 16. Stamos most recently stared in the NBC’s Emmy Award-winning drama series “ER.”
Stamos has also enjoyed success on Broadway, most recently starring in the Tony Award-winning Nine. He is currently performing in "Bye Bye Birdie"
Through his St. Amos banner, he has produced “The Two Mr. Kissels,” a Lifetime TV movie. Stamos is also co-producing a feature film version of the TV Classic “The Jeffersons” for Sony. Additional producing credits include an Emmy nomination in 2000 for co-producing the ABC miniseries “Beach Boys: An American Family” and the highly-rated CBS telefilm “Martin & Lewis.”
His additional television film credits include “The Marriage Fool” opposite Walter Matthau and Carol Burnett. “Jake in Progress" , “Thieves” and " You Again".
Stamos’ career has spanned more than 25 years, beginning with the hit soap “General Hospital.” He later went on to join of the most iconic family television programs playing “Uncle Jesse” on the popular ABC series “Full House.”
Stamos is a talent musician and plays the drums,percussion, keyboards, guitar, bass. Stamos has spent over the past 20 years touring with “The Beach Boys. Stamos appears in the video for their hit single "Kokomo and has record the songs "Probelm Child" and "Forever" (in which he sang lead vocals with the band. He also played in he band The Signals.
Special guests at the star ceremony were speakers Bob Saget, Garry Marshall. Other special guests were Jack Klugman who was his co star on the TV Show "You Again", Anthony Geary who co starred with Stamos on "General Hospital", Beach Boys members Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, "Full House" co stars Lori Laughlin and Candace Cameron Bure and his " ER" co stars Scott Grimes, Linda Cardellini, and Parminder Nagra.
Stamos's star is located at 7021 Hollywood Boulevard.
