One of the fun parts of doing holiday shopping is finding not only the perfect gift, but a gift that isn't going to show up under every tree.  Something unique and special that says, "I really worked hard to find something for you!"

Of course, how hard do you really want to work?  Not that hard, if you are anything like me.  I like to shop local, but I also like to shop online to make it easy.  And I love to find those unique gifts, but I don't have time to get to every craft bazaar around town.

Then I discovered etsy.com, which is like a big crafter's bazaar online!  You can browse through all kinds of cool handmade jewelry, art, clothes... and you are buying directly from the person who made it!

I used the "Shop Local" tool to search for some cool gift ideas made by crafters right here on the Eastside.  Here are some of my favorite picks.

Hand crafted Princess Tutus
Handmade by:  issymissy from Issaquah
Cost:  starting from $39
Tutus are made with the softest tulle, and are machine washable.  You can even contact her to personalize the tutus!  Click here for more.

Looking for more gift guides?  How about the coffee lovers guide?  Or maybe some cool independent local stores?  You can even give some waste-free experiences as gifts!
