This is an incredibly sad day. First we lose Farrah Fawcett, and now another beloved icon has passed away unexpectedly. Radar is reporting that Michael Jackson, 50, has died of a heart attack. He collapsed in a home he was renting in Los Angeles and staffers immediately called for help. Paramedics arrived and discovered the singer unresponsive and began to administer CPR. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

This tragedy comes as a shock, as the singer was about to begin a comeback starting in July in London. He was scheduled to perform 50 sold-out shows at London's O2 Arena.

Jackson's mother was rushing from Las Vegas to be with her son. He is survived by his parents, siblings, and most importantly, his three children: Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II (also known as Blanket), 7.

Sincere condolences to his family. The world has lost a true legend and icon today.
