With Memorial Day on the way, you might be wondering how you can get some nice decorations for your BBQ or other outside celebration. Well, here's some help for you that will keep your kiddos entertained at the same time! Look over one of these fun crafts and you'll find a lot of cheap ways to decorate and celebrate!

Stand alone star craft
- This is a cute craft that's easy and makes a great centerpiece for your table, too! You'll need to print out a star template and should probably use a heavier paper, like cardstock, but otherwise it's very simple.

String of stars - Another easy craft that makes a cute decoration for your BBQ! Draw some stars, cut them out, and let your kiddo decorate them in red, white, and blue. Then you can string them up and hang them where you like!

Patriotic placemat - A great idea! Help your kiddo make a red, white, and blue placemat by weaving strips of construction together. Festive and fun!

Paper tissue votive craft - This craft is probably better for older kids. Have them cut red, white, and blue tissue paper up into small strips. Using small glss votive candleholders you can buy at a crafts store, have them glue the paper on. Very pretty, can be re-used for July 4th, and set off a warm glow.

American flag candle - I love this one! Using a toilet paper roll, your child can glue red, white, and blue paper onto it and then glue an orange flame to the top. It's very easy and will look great.

Patriotic pinwheels - Ok, so you might be doing more of this craft than your kids, but they'll love it all the same! Make a pinwheel using construction paper (heavy paper will be best!). Let them blow it to make it spin!

Paper poppies - Poppies are very symbolic for Memorial Day. Make one using red crepe paper that you can wear to show your support.

Red, white, and blue wreath - Your kiddo can make a lovely wreath with just some tissue paper and a paper plate. Cut a hole in the plate, scrunch up the tissue paper, and glue it onto the plate for a decoration that you can hang on your door.

Red, white, and blue windsock - Have your kiddo decorate a piece of heavy construction paper with red, white, and blue (crayons, markers, glitter). Attach red, white, and blue streamers and make a windsock that you can hang up!

American flag napkin rings - This is an easy activity that kids will enjoy and proudly show off to whatever company you have at your house for Memorial Day. You'll need a paper towel roll and some red, white, and blue paper plus some stars (either stickers or something you draw and cut out). Very cute!
