If your tween or teen is a fan of Twilight, or even if you're a Twilight Mom, you should definitely be aware of this: On November 12, The Twilight Saga: New Moon cast tour is making a stop at Seattle's Southcenter Mall! Not only can your TwiHard meet cast members and attend a Q & A, but there will be a live performance from one of the bands on the soundtrack - perhaps local band Death Cab For Cutie?
In order to receive a VIP pass (only 75 are available on a first-come, first-serve basis), fans must spend $75 on qualified purchases at Nordstrom this Saturday, October 31, beginning at 8am. There is no information about what a "qualified purchase" is but since Nordstrom is currently selling a special line of clothing based entirely on The Twilight Saga, it's a safe bet your kiddo will have buy an item from the line. Once the purchase is made, she will be given access to return to Southcenter on November 12 to meet the cast and participate in the event. There will be activities as well as giveaways and prizes!
Of course, it would be wise to not expect the big stars like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner to appear at the event. The trio will likely be in Paris for the press junket or heading back to the US to attend the premiere in Los Angeles on November 16. While no information is available as to who will be at Southcenter, does it really matter to a true fan? You're guaranteed to meet a bona fide cast member, and it will be someone recognizable! Perhaps it will be Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, or Nikki Reed (all vampires in the movie, by the way).
Will you help your TwiHard get that pass, or do you want her to stay away from the hoopla? Do you approve of the marketing promotion, which forces your child to buy merchandise from the film in order to attend the tour?
