Did you buy a Baby Einstein DVD hoping it would help your baby become, well, Einstein? Recent research from the University of Washington concluded that not only do the DVDs not turn babies into geniuses, they may actually hinder language development.  Now, Disney, which owns the Baby Einstein franchise, is saying sorry by offering refunds of up to $60 for the DVD duds.

If you are interested in getting a refund for your DVDs, you do not need a receipt. Just pack up the DVDs in the original case (if you still have them) and put them in a mailing envelope with this form filled out by hand. You have to submit them by March 4, 2010, and you can only submit 4 DVDs total. Your choices for reimbursement are:

•One (1) Baby Einstein Book of your choice
•One (1) Baby Einstein music CD of your choice

You may also return it, and we will refund the current retail value of the DVD ($15.99).

Remember to follow the rules exactly, because if you mess up any little detail, they won't honor the deal and will just throw away your application.
