One of the grand holiday traditions of the Puget Sound area is the annual Christmas Ship parade. Led by the boats from Argosy Cruises, people from the area wrap their sailboats up in lights and decorations and join in a parade through the waters of Puget Sound. Local communities arrange viewing parties on area beaches, often with bonfires and other special lighting activities, making it a wonderful way to celebrate the season as a community.
Below is a listing of viewing parties on the Eastside, noting which beaches also have extra activities like bonfires going on. For more information and to find viewing parties in Seattle and the general Puget Sound area, click here.
