Mariah Carey talks about Rihanna, new movie "Precious," and pregnancy rumors

Mariah Carey is not pregnant.
Rihanna is finally beginning to speak out about the incident with Chris Brown. She has also released the first song from her new album, Rated R, which is called "Russian Roulette" and is said to be about the relationship Rihanna had with Chris Brown. This, ultimately, is encouraging others to talk about the assault. Mariah Carey is one such celebrity.
According to People News, Mariah Carey was asked on Larry King Live about what Rihanna is going through. The celeb said, “I was very sequestered, as you know, when I first started out…I wasn’t really allowed out of the house, so I can’t imagine what she went through.”
Mariah Carey admitted that she has also been in a relationship that was abusive. “Emotionally, mentally, in other ways…It’s scary. You know, I think you just get into a situation and you feel locked in. If your situation is similar to one of the situations I’ve been in - for me to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing, where the person was in control of my life” (People News).
It is clear that Mariah Carey is referring to an abusive relationship that she had with Tommy Mottola, who was both her first husband and music manager.
Mariah Carey is now married to Nick Cannon. Contrary to popular rumors, Mariah Carey is also not pregnant, according to what she told Larry King Live. “It would be the happiest thing in my life, but what I’m saying is right now with this movie [Precious] coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I’m doing, I need to focus on that, because I can’t do the having-a-child thing halfway.”
Mariah Carey makes it clear that she would give her baby her undivided attention, which is why these pregnancy rumors are not true at the moment. “I wouldn’t be just like, ‘Oh, I’m having a child, Yay! Let me get a nanny so I can give her the baby. Take the kid. That doesn’t work for me. I don’t believe in that” (People News).
The new movie Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire, which Mariah Carey stars in, will be released on December 3rd. Mariah Carey’s new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, was released in September. The album has released two singles so far, and will soon be releasing “H.A.T.E.U.” as its third single. Mariah Carey’s newest fragrance “Forever” was also released in September.
