
Sitting at the end of day the view on Artist Drive in the heart of Death Valley kept changing almost by the minute. It is a place that you could sit all day and just contemplate how and what it must have looked like the day the earth pushed up those huge mountains, and the millions of years of the minerals flowing to the end of the valley making the now vast desert of Death Valley.
The site where this photo was taken has a nice rest area and it will keep you wanting you to stay a little longer. The soft blues and pinks making a dramatic change to the color of the barren rock and sand hills and mountain peaks. There are surprises around every corner and at the bottom or top of each dip and hill as you drive through the almost 6 miles drive.
The fall and winter months give the traveler a nice temperature range to enjoy the scenes. It is always best to plan for very hot or cold times in Death Valley. this cannot be emphasized enough. Water should be a staple of your vehicle also. More than enough to cover everyone in the vehicle enough for a day or two.
This site is close to Death Valley Furnace Creek Resort so a lot of traffic comes and goes Getting some help would be easy to find. Farther out on the desert the change of scene and danger levels rise significantly. Nature offers so many opportunities for a traveler to enjoy, and paint or photograph for furture enjoyment of the visit to anywhere you desire.
