Nationals are over, World’s is up next; It’s good to be a Pokémon fanatic. Since the last update below is a list of the final regional winners as well as the overall Nationals results which took place in St. Louis, June 27-28th.

Now with Nationals decided it’s time for World’s. Here are the details on when, where and prize. Check back for a list of winners. The Pokémon Video Game World Championships will take place on August 14 and 15, 2009 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront located at 1 Park Boulevard and is only open to those Trainers who have earned an invitation to compete. Players will compete for the following prizes:

1st Place

  • A Pokémon Video Game World Championships First Place trophy
  • An Invitation and Travel Award to participate in the 2010 World Championships
  • A trip for four to Tokyo, Japan, New York, NY, USA or Oahu, Hawaii, USA
  • A Pokémon prize package including a Nintendo DSi™ game system, and more

2nd Place

  • A Pokémon Video Game World Championships Second Place trophy
  • A Pokémon prize package including a Nintendo DSi™ game system, and more

3rd - 8th Place

  • A Pokémon prize package including a Nintendo DSi™ game system, and more
