The Matrix-like dream was so much fun that I could barely get myself to continue playing after that. I loved that Matrix dream level. But now on the bigger potatoes.
At this point in the game, I have received a helping tool from Daxter's crush to help him fight bugs differently. She gave us an attachment that makes it possible to “ride” the exterminator gun. So, instead of just standing back and shooting our green gas at bugs, we can ride our extermination tool like a jet-pack while killing bugs at the same time!
In this level, there are many little rooms and hallways you have to go in and/or through in order to advance. At once point in this brewery level, I got to an opening that was covered by a spiderweb. I back-tracked a little to see if I had caused Daxter to make a wrong turn along the way, but I didn't find another way to go. I went back to the spiderweb-covered doorway and tried to see, again, if I could get through. No such luck.
Then, I noticed a flame by the doorway. I finally figured out that I need to spray the flame, which then turned my green gas sprayer into a flame sprayer, and continue spraying fames at the spiderweb. I was then able to go through.
There were other areas in the brewery where I needed to utilize the fames as well. When I needed to use my gas sprayer to “fly” over an opening in the path, sometimes there would be a flame I needed to fly over in order to get an extra boost of height to make it to the next platform.
It definitely feels like this has been the longest level so far, but it's also been really fun learning different ways to utilize our green gas sprayer as a jet pack and as a flame thrower.
