With the news that legendary broadcast journalist Walter Cronkite has died, it is important to look at the impact on news and politics that he is leaving behind. Cronkite anchored and delivered some of the most important moments in political history, including the death of John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon’s impeachment, and the Vietnam War.

Cronkite represents a time in news that we don’t see much of today. He was deemed the “most trusted man in America” because of his ability to report without bias, with calmness, and with all the facts and figures.

We could talk for hours about what Cronkite did and meant for this country, but it is probably best to watch for one’s self.
