Only two days removed from the massive memorial service for "King of Pop" Michael Jackson, questions are again starting to creep up. Toxicology results are still several weeks away, and in that time no cause of death can actually be determined.
However, new evidence from CNN suggests that something deeper could be at work here. Numerous subpoenas have been issued to many of the singer's former doctors who did not fully cooperate with the death investigation. Several bottles of Diprivan, an extremely powerful sedative, were found inside of the singer's home during the investigation. Dr. Arnold Klein, Jackson's dermatologist and a close friend, warned the singer about the drug. However, whether or not Jackson heeded the warning is to be seen. There is another possibility present, that Jackson simply did not know the strength of the prescription or he was given an incorrect dosage. He also could have received the drugs under the table.
For now, police are being careful not to place Jackson's death under any specific label, since it could take even longer to determine if the Diprivan was present in a large dose. As Los Angeles Chief of Police William Bratton told CNN, almost everything will depend on the results of the toxicology report. Once this is determined Bratton's question can finally be answered: "are we dealing with a homicide or are we dealing with accidental overdose?"
Unfortunately, that only thing we can rely on right now is uncertainty. We don't know what happened to Michael Jackson, and we still do not even know where his final resting place will be.
