Mya & Dimitry stole the show on "Dancing."
ABC

"Dancing With the Stars" decided to take us on a tour through time this week, and it worked to varying results. Everyone was on their A game, and even if there were a few letdowns every star had a moment or two to shine.

Mya: pure domination

Mya right now has to be the odds-on favorite to win "Dancing With the Stars," at least in terms of talent. She was one point shy of perfection by the end of the night, including a fun 1970s-themed samba that had Dimitry Chaplin looking like Ron Burgundy.

If Mya has one problem moving forward, it's that not everyone in the audience has actually heard of her. Granted, Brooke Burke was able to overcome this obstacle--but it did cause Sabrina Bryan to falter.

Aaron Carter: next in line to go?

Aaron Carter is certainly not a bad dancer, even if he sometimes manages to get in his own way. This week he was pretty solid, though he failed to really stand out.

Aaron's best moment easily was his '90s-themed dance that featured some clever moves and great chemistry between him and partner Karina Smirnoff. The one problem Aaron has is that he's consistently been on the verge of going home. When you consider that he was tied for last at the end of Monday night, you have to expect that he will be the next out.

Joanna & Derek take us to the future

There could be an argument made that Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough seem to think they're the bees' knees--and by the end of the night they proved they were. The ballroom round, while it was half of the score, paled in comparison to the brilliant "paso doble of the future."

Now, when I heard that one team was going have to give the dance of the future, I thought it was impossible / unfair. However, Derek delivered with some of the greatest choreography in the history of the show. The dance was inventive, fun to watch, and it made the couple more likable than they've been all season. Are Joanna & Derek darkhorses to go all the way?

Kelly stays consistent

Kelly Osbourne, meanwhile, has been a darkhorse all along. We haven't received any indication that she could be in jeopardy, but she could be this week after several other dancers upstaged her in theatrics. She had a beautiful foxtrot, and that was probably the highlight of the night for her.

Unfortunately, Kelly's '60s-themed jive just didn't seem to have it all together. The judges praised the improvement she has shown over the past few weeks, but her decision to use a doll as a prop was a little bit odd. In terms of scoring, Kelly fell in the middle of the pack.

Donny goes glam

Speaking of things that are odd, Donny Osmond decided to bust out the eye liner (and the mullet) for a bizarre 1980s paso that could've done without the lavish costume. Donny is a master showman, but this time he looked a little too much like Michael Jackson and danced a little too weakly to get much notice.

Donny's not going to have a problem advancing, even if he finished in the bottom two in terms of scores. He has an enormous fan base, and his interplay with the audience always makes him a favorite.
