Kris Allen is taking part in a new sort of TV program: the People's Choice Awards. According to Zap2It, the "American Idol" winner will be one of many people present on November 10 to announce the nominees for the annual CBS awards ceremony.

Who will join Kris for the occasion? The lineup includes "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara, "Survivor" host Jeff Probst, "The Big Bang Theory" star Johnny Galecki, and Cat Deeley from "So You Think You Can Dance."

Kris Allen is currently hitting the airwaves for his new song, "Live Like We're Dying." The music video was released this past week, and his self-titled debut album will hit stores on November 17, six days before the release of rival Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment."
