'Jon and Kate Plus 8:' does Jon Gosselin throw safety out the window?

Jon Gosselin is back in Pennsylvania.
Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Jon Gosselin has returned to Pennsylvania, and he is already starting to raise some questions about the safety of his kids. In a new picture posted to Radar Online, we can see the reality TV dad taking one of his 5-year old boys for a ride on his ATV. The boy is in his lap, and he does not have on any sort of protective equipment.
Of course, there is one question that instantly comes to mind: is this safe? People have suffered serious injuries (and even death) on the vehicles, and the constantly presence of the paparazzi at the home could lead on distractions. On the other hand, the terrain on Jon's home is fairly flat and we have no indication of just how fast he was going on the ATV.
The family didn't spend all of their time on the vehicle, as apparently they also picked out a couple of pumpkins--it's a little late for Halloween, but it's never too late for pie!
It's been a fairly quiet weekend for the Gosselins, and Monday night's new episode of "Jon and Kate Plus 8" will primarily feature footage from the first five seasons of the show. We know that Jon will be appearing in court on December 14 to discuss his breach of contract with TLC, but what he and Kate will do over the next couple of weeks is very much in the air.
