When "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" begins on January 4, it will be coming with a whole new look: HD 720p. The reality show is making the jump to high-definition for the first time in 14 seasons, giving fans an opportunity to see pretty much every rose petal in full clarity.
Why is this a big deal? To this point reality competition shows have been fairly slow to switch over to HD, even while the majority of other programs are now being shot in the format. "Survivor" only made the change last year, and many other top reality shows (such as "The Amazing Race" and "The Apprentice") continue to shoot in standard definition.
