"American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi is already getting set for the upcoming season of the Fox reality show. In a recent interview with Billboard, DioGuardi said that it was "tough" seeing Paula Abdul go but that she's "looking forward to getting to know" new performance-round judge Ellen DeGeneres better: "I think she's going to be a great addition."
DioGuardi also talked about a number of people she is currently working with, from Adam Lambert to Carrie Underwood to even Rascal Flatts. She also did a little bit of work with Allison Iraheta from this past season.
However, when asked if she could pick a favorite number from her past collaborations, she pulled one name out of a hat pretty quickly: Christina Aguilera for "Ain't No Other Man." DioGuardi loves that the song is a "celebration" of love, which is something that she doesn't always have an opportunity to write in a music industry filled with scorned breakup songs.
Are you excited to see how Ellen DeGeneres fares on "American Idol?" Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more news leading up to January's season premiere.
