Those of you hoping to watch Michael Jackson's final rehearsal footage on TV will have to wait for a little while. It was announced on Tuesday that "This Is It" will air on MTV's series of networks sometime in 2011.
MTV, which is owned by Viacom, has a pretty large umbrella in which it could air the film--from MTV2 to VH1 to BET. It is actually very appropriate that the music channel acquired the right to Jackson's concert film, since he was the entertainer who first managed to historically break the color barrier on the network with his classic "Thriller" video.
To this point, Jackson's "This Is It" has grossed over $200 million around the globe. Are you willing to wait until 2011 to watch this film on TV? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more TV news.
