GameStop no longer wants your old Xbox

Here is a bit of sad news for ya. According to Joystiq, starting February 9, GameStop will no longer be accepting original Xbox systems for trade-ins.

No info yet on whether or not GameStop will be taking in Gamecube and PSII systems, but they have called it quits on the good ol' Xbox.

Time are tough right now economically and people need a little extra cash, so I'm guessing Gamestop just has way too many old dust covered Xbox systems sitting around in their warehouse, and not enough people buying them. Now that Xbox 360 is in full swing as far as game production, and original box no longer has anything to show. Les face it guys; if you have an original Xbox sitting around, hang on to it for sentimental value, and in 10 years sell it on Ebay.
