Fable II hits the shelves 10/21/08

With more neon colors than an 80s workout tape, the latest Fable II gameplay video sports some pretty impressive visuals. The gameplay was shown at the Tokyo Game show and displays the main character slashing trough some huge flying wasp thingies with his rapier. After each wasps demise a brilliant display of colorful orbs erupted out of their corpses instantaneously. The neon orbs different colors represent different types of experience points (ranged, magic, melee). The protagonist was also shown smokin' some insects with his flintlock pistol ( with an abnormally fast reload time) and some impressive area of effect magic spells that would make even Harry Potter raise an eyebrow.

The movements of the character during swordplay were very fluid, and somewhat believable just as in the first Fable. Wasp models and visuals had a color scheme that would keep the attention of any gamer. The game seems to have a soft overlap giving the battle a serene type of feeling rather than a grim fight for the death with giant killer wasp. Altogether Fable II will bring back the things we all love about Fable, and some exciting new visuals to keep us all up late playing.
