Will PS3 games be downgraded for 360?

360 graphics still par with PS3

According to a games magazine, Sony Computer Entertainments UK director Ray Maguire was quoted saying that future next-gen games will be leading on the PS3. Now I can see where that statement would come from, but I just wanted to give a short explanation of this.

Although the processor in the PS3 is freakishly powerfull, developers still have not been able to maximize the potential of it. And while games on PS3 tend to look amazing, some other titles look slightly better on XBOX 360 depending on the television specs. So is the discrepancy just in the games? We shall see.

For now, visually, games lead toward both consoles, but if future developers can maximize every aspect of the Cell processor, then Microsoft should look out, because the difference will be as noticable as a zit on school photo day.
