A learning center in south county has closed its doors and is wanting to share their curriculum with anyone who can use it. The curriculum is from a Catholic school, and may not be mainstream typical homeschooling material, but might be a huge blessing in this economy to use as a supplement for learning. The materials include most subjects, mostly 1st-8th grades and some high school math. The learning center had worked with at risk students in a one-on-one format, so they have teacher guides and student workbooks available that would work well for homeschoolers.
Sister Barbara Bitter will be available at the Notre Dame High School Learning Center for homeschool families to pick up free curriculum on:
November 3 (Tuesday) 9 - 11am
November 4 (Wednesday) 9 - 11am.
Their address is 320 E Ripa Ave, St Louis, MO 63125-2897 at Notre Dame School's Learning Center.
The directions they have given are as follows:
Enter Jefferson Barracks Park from Kingston Drive/S. Broadway to Grant Road. Within the first block of entering the park, I believe there is a sign indicating the entrance to Notre Dame High School. Follow the signs to the Learning Center (a very pretty drive as the campus is full of beautiful trees and adjacent to the Mississippi River) and you should find ample parking to the west of Learning Center/Preschool building. The Learning Center is on second floor, south side to the building.
