Washington is buzzing with new energy and fresh directions for our country. With all of this activity and in light of Independence Day this Saturday, I have added link lists to my page which are useful to all citizens, as well as those with a desire to become citizens. This information is crucial for knowing the basic ideals and basic rights on which this country was founded, as well as for understanding the functionality of the government and its duties and limitations.
In addition, I have included links to the three primary sites which are needed to contact our elected officials in Washington DC, so all will be able to voice their opinions in current and future bills and policies. Finally, I completed the trio of branches with a link to the Supreme Court.
These links are located lower down the page on the right.
I will be adding additional link lists soon, so be sure to check back!
Below are the links I have thus far added:
The Declaration of Independence
The Constitution of the United States of America
• Bill of Rights (Amendments 1-10)
• Amendments to the Constitution (11-27)
The President of the United States
The United States House of Representatives
The United States Senate
The United States Supreme Court
