Michael Jackson - Arguably one of the best performers of our time, is sadly no longer with us. Despite his controversial and often bizarre behavior, he was still one of the most phenomenal performers in the history of the music industry; and perhaps in the entire world. Michael Jackson obviously touched many people’s lives, as is evidenced by the outpouring of grief that is being displayed throughout the world.
The cause of Jackson’s death is still being investigated. Some would argue that this did not have to happen - and perhaps it did not have to happen. However, from a spiritual perspective everything happens for a reason. Some meta-physical teachings contend that we all come here to fulfill a purpose. When we have fulfilled that purpose we leave the earth plane. These spiritual teachings claim that we all know on some level when it is our time to go (pass on). Some people, such as the spiritually advanced, are so in touch with their Higher Self that they know when it is their time to leave the earth plane; and they do so quietly and peacefully.
Many meta-physical teachings also claim that we choose our parents. We know what we need to learn in order for our soul to advance spiritually. We choose the parents that will help us learn the lessons that we have chosen to learn in this lifetime.
It is well known that Michael Jackson had a troubled relationship with his father. According to meta-physical teachings, we could say that Michael Jackson choose this man to be his father so he could learn the lessons that he needed to learn in this life time so his soul could advance.
Perhaps one of the reasons Michael Jackson became a world wide icon is because he had something to teach the world. Perhaps we were suppose to learn something from Michael Jackson. Possibly one lesson that Michael Jackson may have taught the world is that we need to love one another regardless of our differences. Songs such as “Ebony & Ivory” proclaim how we could all be living together in perfect harmony. The message seems to be that we are all human beings on the inside, regardless of outer appearances. Therefore, human beings need to love one another.
Another lesson that we could possibly have learned from Michael Jackson is that we can be creative and even successful regardless of our background or how much abuse we many have suffered. Some people find excuses for why they can’t be creative and/or successful. Some reasons people site are that they were abused as children, they don’t have money, they’re too old or too young, too pretty or too ugly, they’re married or single…..and so forth.
Clearly, Michael Jackson broke all the barriers. Jackson was very poor as a child, and allegedly severely abused by his father. Jackson continued to be creative regardless of his background and personal problems; which were many in his later years. Imaginably, Jackson taught us that we can be creative and/or successful regardless of what our personal problems or background is or has been.
These are just a few possibilities of what some of us may have learned from Michael Jackson. Conceivably, Michael Jackson has touched many people’s lives in many different ways.
