The Cadillac CTS entered the market in 2003 as a vastly updated version of the company's former Catera ("The Caddy That Zigs"). Although the CTS brought some fresh new style and appealed to a younger demographic, it's first iteration was riddled with reliability problems and left buyers dissapointed.
Cadillac took note of CTS shortcomings and delivered a complete model redesign in 2008. Upgrades included fresh, more stylish sheetmetal, more potent powerplants, and a suspension tuned at the famous Nurburgring Nordeschlife (the unofficial playground of sportscars such as the Porsche 911). The upgrades were so thorough that it was awarded the prestigious Motor Trend Car of the Year award in 2008, resulting in sport-car credo and high-volume sales to stay financially afloat.
If you are looking for a luxurious and sporty way to get from A to B, look no further. The Cadillac CTS has plenty of luxurious amenities, and starts at $37,585 - a bargain in it's class.
