One should never judge a device based on looks in a picture. Actually, when you see the Motorola Droid in person, it doesn't look much better than the picture. However, once you turn the device on, you will be in Heaven.

Build and Design
The Droid is the thinnest phone ever to have a QWERTY keyboard. They could have made it even thinner if they left off the keyboard, which wouldn't be a completely bad thing (see later in article). Though it feels like a heavy, oversized bar of soap, the phone is solidly built. Weighing 6 ounces, the Droid is 4.6 inches tall, 2.4 inches wide, and 0.5 inches thick.
Screen
The 3.7 inch screen on the Droid is the most gorgeous screen I've ever seen on a smartphone. It not only trumps the screen of the iPhone, but beats the AMOLED screen of the Samsung Moment as well. The 480 x 854 resolution makes even the smallest text crisp and clear. In fact, there is no need to zoom in on some fully loaded web pages because everything is so easy to read. Just like the Palm Pre, the capacitive screen is sometimes too sensitive, but it doesn't hurt the overall experience.
