The 16th Annual PantheaCon will be held President's Day weekend, February 12 – 15, 2010.  The location is the Double Tree hotel in San Jose, CA.  The Double Tree is already sold out due to the popularity of this convention.  You can stay nearby, however, at the Holiday Inn San Jose for a special $85 PantheaCon rate if you mention the event when making your reservations.  More local hotels are listed on the website.  A hotel shuttle is scheduled for all day and into the night between the various hotels and the Double Tree convention site.

This year’s theme is "Back to Basics."

As energy and economics implode we look for more simple ways of life. Our pagan ethics and worship of our Earth Mother help us forge new sustainable lifestyles as we honor the old ways. What we know about the old ways of life, others now acknowledge as new imperatives to be the custodians of our earth. What is the bottom line when it comes to our lives and our spirits? What living skills of our traditions are especially needed for the future?

Speakers, ritualists and workshop leaders are coming from all over the globe. Programming starts Friday afternoon at 1:00 pm with the opening ritual and continues through Monday late afternoon, ending at 5:00 pm. There will be up to thirteen simultaneous workshops happening during the days. At night, up to six different programs will be offered.  Ninety minute workshops start at 9 AM and 11 AM with a 30 minute break between them.  Afternoon workshops are at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM with a 30 minute break. There is a scheduled lunch hour from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM and the dinner break is from 5 PM til 7 PM.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up and have fun. "Hall Award" prize ribbons will be given out for costuming. There will be rituals, dances, concerts and parties all evening. Check the Pantheacon website for more information.
