Models present Badgely Mischka fashions

Chevy Chase, MD - Saks Fifth Avenue Chevy Chase and Capitol File Magazine welcomed design duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka (Badgley Mischka) last Tuesday for a special presentation of their classic 2008 Cruise collection. Hailed by Vogue as one of the “Top 10 American Designers,” Badgely Mischka wowed the audience with timeless designs and sophisticated style ranging from daytime dressy and cocktail to evening attire.

Immediately upon leaving the runway, these styles were available for purchase or order by those attending the event. And the best part – each affordable piece was less than $1,000!

This is the third year Saks Fifth Avenue has partnered with the hospital for a unique fashion and fundraising opportunity: the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Thanks and Giving® campaign. Three children of hospital founder Danny Thomas came together in 2004 to create the campaign, which brings together celebrities, media, retail and corporate partners, and asks consumers to “Give thanks for the healthy kids in your life, and give to those who are not.”

Funds raised by ticket sales from the evening support the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to find cures for desperately ill children in communities everywhere.

For more information about the event or to learn more about the Thanks and Giving campaign, contact Jeanie Torchio at 800-336-3083 or jeanie.torchio@stjude.org. Saks Fifth Avenue is located at 5555 Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase, MD.
