Find out more about Julie: Julie was born in the Midwest, grew up in California, and has traveled and lived throughout America. At the age of 17, she embarked on her first international trip, to West Africa, as a member of a women's basketball team from California. Now 35 years later, that trip, which initiated a lifelong pursuit of getting to know the world in a more personal way, is coming full circle as she moves back to the Bay Area. During these years, she has worked throughout Europe and the United States and has taken degrees in the UK and Sweden, living there for the past 15 years as an immigrant. These experiences have given her unique insights into the life, needs and demands placed on all immigrants. In a world, which is growing smaller and smaller, this is a message worth sharing. |
