Jack and the girls getting comfy

During the next month, I will try to send alerts when I locate a particular bargain on a TV on DVD set; this morning, I saw that deepdiscount.com was selling the DVD set of the six-episode first season of the 1970s sitcom "Three's Company" for $2.75. You can get free shipping on this item if you choose the media mail option, which can take three weeks or more for delivery.

This item is on back-order, and the website did not identify an "expected by" date, but this set would make a nice stocking stuffer for fans of the show if it arrives in time. I would like as well to direct your attention to an entry that I wrote about back-order related problems at deepdiscount.

I am not a big fan of the show but decided that getting six episodes for $2.75 was a good deal; I can see watching one or two when I am in the mood for amusingly mindless antics and sexploitive humor. This series did inspire my favorite scene from "Friends" in which sarcastic Chandler remarked that the "Three's Company" episode that the group was watching was the one in which there was a wacky misunderstanding.
