The Kiss, interpreted in wool by niftyknits
An English crafter has come up with a way to simultaneously satisfy the human craving for Star Trek, hand-knitted crafts and adorable meerkats with a line of knitted Trek-costumed meerkats.
The line by niftyknits, a knitter in Kent, features characters from the original series, as well as Dax from Deep Space Nine.
The little guys are $39 apiece on Etsy. If you know anything about knitting, you'll see that's a bargain for the effort involved. Niftyknits also has a line of greeting cards with photos of the Trek meerkats.
Etsy is an online marketplace for handmade items; a "Star Trek" search on Etsy returns T-shirts with Klingon slogans (Hab SoSll' Quch=Your mother has a smooth forehead), a Khan pendant, Federation logo acrylic cufflinks (they look better than that sounds) and a crocheted Spock doll.
Definitely Quinto, not Nimoy...
