Video Game by UBI Soft

This video game looks just like the movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and arrives in stores a few days before the big screen debut.  This food fight  focuses on the main character Flint, who has invented a device that turns food into weather.  This was to solve the world's hunger problems (as opposed the just one town in the original book).  The device goes awry, and some of the food has turned evil.  It is a  delicious, ingenious idea of Flint and his friends battling tornadoes made of spaghetti, evil food candy snowmen, and attacking roasted chickens.

This video game has been praised for enhancing problem solving skills for children, and tolerable family friendly 'classic cartoon' violence.  It is still a little violent defending the world from evil food, so that is to be expected. There is a weather element to this, but so much more.  It is such a unique idea, that should unite families around the TV, and the dinner table.

Check back for my review of the movie compared to the original book.  Below is the trailer for the video game by will be available on every major platform: PC, Nintendo Wii and DS, Playstation 3, Sony PSP , and XBox 360.  Hard core gamers might critique the debut for everyone, but it is hard to argue that the display looks just like the movie.  That alone should give this high ranks.
