Storm reports spanned both coasts on Wednesday.  This weather pattern brough in a rare June storm to California produced 6000 lightning strikes, a few fires and at least two deaths.  Yesterday's storms locally dumped more than just lighting, heavy rain, damaging winds and hail the size of golfballs were captures on the video below.  The official report was reported in Frederickburg, VA at 1000 Greetree Rd.

More flooding is possible today and Friday.  Click here for that report.

Heavy Rain

Most of the problems in Maryland were from heavy, flooding rain from Baltimore towards Washington and central Maryland.  See the rainfall totals in the slide show.

Lightning

BWI-Marshall Airport:  This was a big issue yesterday.  A female security guard at the airport was struck.  She had non-life threatening injuries.

Fredericksburg, VA:  Police say a 12 year old died and an 11 year old was critically injured on a baseball field south of Fredericksburg (near the storm video below).  Umpires called the game for bad weather and ordered people off of the field.  The two boys stayed under their parents supervision to play catch.  They were struck while their parents watched.
